So It's been Two Weeks to the day since I got my teeth out....and I'm still sore, obviously not as bad as I was, and I have lost 10 lbs and I still have no appetite....(startin' to feel like a drama queen, now I see why they take them out younger)....gees.
~I had to go back into the Dentist yesterday, because on Saturday I realized that a piece of one of my teeth was still in! And it was super sharp....it was cutting my cheek every time I talked or ate. (So sick of the taste of blood).
~So they had me come in, they say its pretty common to have left over bone fragments afterwards and they said since it was buggin' me they'd pull it out. (I tried having Jacob pull it out on Saturday, with no success....and it hurt so bad I'm still surprised I didn't punch him in the face...every time he pulled it would shoot pain up into my head, yes I cried like a baby.)
~Long story short...it wasn't part of my tooth, it was part of my jaw....so every time they pulled no wonder it hurt. They chipped off the tip, so it's not sharp and it's already starting to heal....finally I can see life returning back to normal.
~Moral of the story......DON'T PUT OFF GETTING YOUR WISDOM TEETH OUT!!!
BTW- Thanks for all your stories, it helps to know I'm not alone!

wow, I really sympathize for you, not by experience, but by imagining--sounds like such a mess! If you want to hear of a good experience, I went in they numbed me and they got all 4 out in about 1 min. (they had all grown straight up and looked like beautiful back teeth). In fact it was so easy the doc didn't even charge my parents the normal fee, he just charged them for 4 extractions. I didn't swell a bit and I was eating just fine by the next day. I totally know this is not the norm, so I totally still sympathize when I hear about hard cases. Grant recommends Ensure (he lived off of it for a week when he got his out). Good luck, I hope you don't have any more problems!
Yipes! That does not give me hope at all. I am so sorry for all that you have had to go through. I have three wisdom teeth at the moment and Kurt really wants to get them taken out. This is all the more reason why I am saying NO.
Oh Gosh! A part of your jaw?! That's psycho! I'm so sorry you've had such a terrible wisdom teeth experience. My experience with that was so much smoother. I hope the rest gets easier and better for you.
