First Snowman

Yesterday it finally snowed, and Kaylie was so excited to go outside and see it, so we built her first snowman, and the snow was so heavy and wet that he didn't stay together very well. In this picture is our finished product....nice I know, but you have to work fast with a two year old helping.
Like I mentioned above, the snow was a little too wet to work with, and he actually fell over while I was building him twice...Kaylie thought it was hilarious and then she got really sad about it, otherwise I would have just given it up.

Cute picture of Kaylie looking at the snow, she really didn't know what to think of it at first.

This was literally her first experience with the snow, she's seen snow in Ohio, but we never had the chance to go outside and play in it. She just stood there for a few minutes and looked confused.

Nauvoo

On our long trip home, we stopped in Nauvoo. We were way excited because neither of us had ever been there, and everyone just raves about it. Well, aparently we got there during the off season. Everything was closed and none of the tours were going. We spent the night thinking that stuff would open the next day...nope. So Nauvoo wasn't that great for us, we'll have to try to go again, during the summer. But we did get to see the Temple and it is now one of my favorites.
Jacob and Kaylie standing in front of the Nauvoo Temple. We had to take quick pictures because it was so cold.

Kaylie, pointing to the horses with Joesph and Hyrum Smith on them. She was so excited to be out of the car after 6 hours of driving. Little did she know that we still had a long way to go.
Funny story, that car in front of the Temple was from Idaho. What are the odds?

Children's Museum

Just before we left Cincinnati, we went with the Simpsons to the Children's Museum. We'd never been before and Kaylie loved it. She had a blast playing with Abby, she's really going to miss the Simpson girls.
Working, her balancing skills, she was on this spider web for a long time.

I wish I had a video camera with me. There was a large screen in the Clifford Exhibit that was playing videos of all the characters playing music. She danced forever, and she'd stop to play the drums for a little while and then dance all over again. And yes, she's wearing a life jacket....long story.
Feeding Clifford his bone. I love that they were so big compared to her.
Clifford, Emily, Abby and Kaylie all hanging out.

Kaylie loved playing in the water, she basically got soaked, I was just waiting for her to fall in.
Exploring a cave with Abby, I'm still not sure if she really liked it or not.

Kaylie loves doggies, and she really loves Clifford, right here you could tell she wasn't quite sure what to think of him.

I love this photo, Kaylie is definitely her father's daughter. Of course the first thing she ran to was the old school pick up, she hopped in and started to drive. She was making all the car sounds and her you can tell that she's just lounging' around and enjoying the ride.

Finally Made it to Utah!

Well, after driving to 1,500 miles across the country, we finally made it to our final destination....yay!!! But ever since we got here we've had nothing but problems. First our car's check engine light came on...$390.00 to fix. Then Kaylie got the stomach flu, which lead to the discovery of my broken washer and dryer...$1,200.00 (to buy a new set.) Then a broken furnace, garbage disposal, shower, toilet, and possibly fireplace...(no cost to us, just our poor landlord.) Plus another light came on in our car today...who knows how much that will cost us....oh joy! Ain't life great? All this before Christmas.
Anyhow, I'll be posting photos later, just wanted to update to everybody in Ohio, that we've made it to Utah and we're still kicking....for now at least. =)
