Yesterday it finally snowed, and Kaylie was so excited to go outside and see it, so we built her first snowman, and the snow was so heavy and wet that he didn't stay together very well. In this picture is our finished product....nice I know, but you have to work fast with a two year old helping.

Nauvoo
On our long trip home, we stopped in Nauvoo. We were way excited because neither of us had ever been there, and everyone just raves about it. Well, aparently we got there during the off season. Everything was closed and none of the tours were going. We spent the night thinking that stuff would open the next day...nope. So Nauvoo wasn't that great for us, we'll have to try to go again, during the summer. But we did get to see the Temple and it is now one of my favorites.
Children's Museum
Just before we left Cincinnati, we went with the Simpsons to the Children's Museum. We'd never been before and Kaylie loved it. She had a blast playing with Abby, she's really going to miss the Simpson girls.
Working, her balancing skills, she was on this spider web for a long time.
I wish I had a video camera with me. There was a large screen in the Clifford Exhibit that was playing videos of all the characters playing music. She danced forever, and she'd stop to play the drums for a little while and then dance all over again. And yes, she's wearing a life jacket....long story.
Kaylie loved playing in the water, she basically got soaked, I was just waiting for her to fall in.

Finally Made it to Utah!
Well, after driving to 1,500 miles across the country, we finally made it to our final destination....yay!!! But ever since we got here we've had nothing but problems. First our car's check engine light came on...$390.00 to fix. Then Kaylie got the stomach flu, which lead to the discovery of my broken washer and dryer...$1,200.00 (to buy a new set.) Then a broken furnace, garbage disposal, shower, toilet, and possibly fireplace...(no cost to us, just our poor landlord.) Plus another light came on in our car today...who knows how much that will cost us....oh joy! Ain't life great? All this before Christmas.
Anyhow, I'll be posting photos later, just wanted to update to everybody in Ohio, that we've made it to Utah and we're still kicking....for now at least. =)

Just Packing
Last Night Out with the Steven's
This Thursday was a bitter-sweet night, because it was the last time that we got to hang out with our friends the Steven's (Justin and Deanna). We went to to the Museum and watched an Omni-Max film (which Kaylie was terrified of.) But we had fun.
In this picture Kaylie is on Justin's shoulders, she wouldn't look at the camera because she had to keep her eyes on Clifford the Big Red dog at all times.
The Museum is in the old Rail-road Terminal, it is a really neat building.

Halloween Night
This picture was taken after we got home, she had a sucker in her mouth the whole time. As you can see she was a pirate.
Her she is doing a little jig for us while in costume. Still with the sucker of course.
Shaylie and Bridger getting ready to go Trick or Treating. Bridger's doing the jig here.
We had a blast trick or treating, it was so cute once Kaylie caught on. At every house she said "to-treat", "tank-too", and "bye-bye" while blowing kisses to everyone. She got so much candy that by the last few houses she was just dragging her bag up the porch, it was way too heavy.
More Halloween Fun
Kaylie getting ready to head Trick or Treating.
Kaylie kept putting on Shaylie's costume, because she loves Pumpkins, she was wearing this costume almost the whole time we were at Tracie and Steve's House.
Pumpkin Carving!!!
For Family Night we carved a pumpkin. Kaylie helped her dad pick it out, then we brought it home and carved it. Kaylie wanted the face to look like a little ghost that my mom sent her for Halloween, so we did the same face on it.
The picture is a little dark, but here's our pumpkin.
Kaylie was kind of creeped out by the pumpkin while I was carving it. This is the most contact she had with the pumpkin the entire time.
She was really grossed out here, she kept saying "yucky" over and over again.
Trunk or Treat
On Saturday, October 25th our ward had a Halloween Carnival and a Trunk or Treat. Kaylie was actually really sick, but we still went and she had a blast. These are her two best friends Jeana (on the left) and Abby (on the right.)
P.S. Gotta love the camera and hand in the lower left hand corner....whoops!

Versailles State Park, Indiana
Finally, a family photo with all of us smiling....well, sort of.
This Bridge was really cool, it had a sign on it saying that it was built in 1885. I love that everything is so old here.
Here are some of the cool vines that we found in the middle of the woods, that's Steve in the background checking them out.
And here's Kaylie swinging with Tracie, we're not really sure that she loved the swinging idea, but she laughed and smiled anyway.

Pretty tree, and the photo just didn't capture it the way I wanted, but it still looks cool.
Bridger, came up to us like this and said "Look guys, I'm an elephant." Kaylie thought it was hilarious, she loves elephants almost as much as Bridger does.
Bridger and Shaylie behind some cool vines that we found in the woods.
Shaylie is so sweet, she was so cute about helping Kaylie the entire day. Here she's helping Kaylie smell the sunflowers.
Kaylie loves flowers, she always has to stop to sniff everyone she sees. This one was funny because I just wanted her to hold the flower for the picture because there was a honey bee on it. in this picture you can see bee. But right after I clicked the picture she put her nose right on the bee and luckily the bee didn't seem to notice.

Jacob took this photo of a little bridge we crossed on our hike, I think it's really good, but pictures just don't do the trees justice.
Kaylie, Bridger and Shaylie were all having a blast throwing the leaves up in the air.
Jacob and Kaylie just sittin' (sort of) around the camp fire.
Here we are on our little hike. Kaylie always had to have something in her hands, whether it was sticks, flowers or leaves.

Happy Birthday Dave!
We had a Birthday Party for Dave Simpson (our good friend.) We went out to dinner and then came back to our place for cake. So here's Dave making his Birthday wish!
Just enjoying each other's company. From Left to right: Jacob, Dave, Justin, Deanna, and Me. Jennett (Dave's wife) was taking the photo.
I'm pretty sure that Kaylie thought it was her Birthday, her favorite part about the whole thing were the balloons that we got for Dave. She had to sleep with one tied on her crib last night.
Here's Kaylie basically claiming that Dave's balloons belong to her. Oh well.
